2008-M-088 Derrick Delmar Brocks, petitioner, Appellant, vs. State of Minnesota, Respondent.
Following a jury trial, appellant Derrick Delmar Brocks was convicted of first-degree murder for the 1996, shooting death of James Nunn. We affirmed Brocks' conviction on direct appeal. In 1998.
Brocks subsequently filed a petition for post-conviction relief, arguing that ineffective assistance of trial counsel deprived him of a fair trial and that he was denied effective assistance of appellate counsel. The post-conviction court denied his petition without an evidentiary hearing. We affirm.
